Overview

atajo is my personal URL shortener and a hands-on lab for learning about Codex, prompting, AI agents, and Cloudflare infrastructure. The product brings together cached redirects, link management, campaigns, tags, and consistent analytics in a vivid-light interface designed as a developer tool. The public instance serves a single user and has no open sign-up, but the code is MIT-licensed and can be self-hosted. The architecture runs on Cloudflare Workers: D1 holds the canonical data, KV speeds up link resolution, and Workers Analytics Engine records activity without adding separate infrastructure.

Key features

  • Custom redirects with normalization, reserved routes, statuses, expiration, and KV caching
  • Single-user authentication with Better Auth and public sign-up disabled
  • Dashboard to create, edit, pause, archive, and review short links
  • Organization through campaigns, tags, and search or status filters
  • Overall and per-link analytics over 7, 30, and 90 days or a custom range
  • Comparison with the previous period, time zones, and separation of human and automated clicks
  • Breakdowns by source, country, and device, plus rankings and activity by day and hour
  • CSV export, responsive design, keyboard navigation, and reduced-motion support
